Cross District Study Group Directions

Districts have the option to collaborate to build study groups across multiple school districts. This option will allow smaller districts to have more in-depth conversation and discussions by content areas, or will give the options for teachers to join in conversation with other educators throughout the state.

Cross district study groups are available for:

  • Teaching Authentic Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science
  • Differentiated Instruction in the 21st Century Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science
  • Inquiry Based Learning in the 21st Century Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science
  • Project Based Learning in the 21st Century Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science

To participate in a cross district study group, a district representative needs to:

  1. Fill out the cross district study group form. Download the form here.
    1. Information that needs to be included on the form:
      1. District contact (name of person submitting form or most appropriate person to contact if additional information is needed)
      2. District contact email address and phone number
      3. Learner Name
      4. Learner Email address
      5. Course and subject area
      6. Facilitator Name (for each course learners will be enrolled in)
      7. Facilitator email address
      8. Course(s) and subject area(s)facilitator will facilitate
  2. Submit form via email or fax to 724-459-6373.

Once the form has been received:

  1. LSI Customer Service will place learner(s) in the requested cross district study group(s).
  2. LSI Customer Service will release the study group once it is full (max 10 learners) or at the beginning of the month if there are enough learners in the group (3-4 minimum.)
  3. LSI Customer Service will notify via email learners, facilitator, and district contact (listed on study group form) that the group has been released.
